DNS Record Checker

A DNS record checker reads the records a domain publishes — A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT and CNAME — and flags configuration problems in them. It answers both "what is published" and "what is wrong with it", which is the difference between a raw lookup and a diagnostic.

What does a DNS record checker diagnose?

A DNS record checker combines a live record lookup with rules that flag common configuration concerns across A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, and CNAME data. It answers both what a domain publishes and which missing, conflicting, or suspicious values may affect websites, mail delivery, or verification.

The diagnostic layer runs over Node's server-side DNS resolver and classifies findings as error, warning, information, or OK. Not every absent record is a defect, and DNS policy depends on the service being configured. Confirm warnings against the authoritative provider's requirements before changing a production zone.
