IP Reputation Checker

An IP reputation checker reports whether an address has been reported for abusive behaviour such as scanning, brute-forcing or spam. This tool is built against AbuseIPDB, which requires a free API key — without one configured, it says so plainly instead of inventing a score.

What does an IP reputation checker measure?

An IP reputation checker summarizes community reports linking an address to scanning, brute force, spam, or other abusive activity. Report count, categories, recency, and an abuse-confidence score can support triage when deciding whether traffic deserves further investigation or temporary blocking.

The server validates IPv4 or IPv6 input and queries AbuseIPDB when its API key is configured; otherwise it returns an explicit service-unavailable response. Reputation is historical and shared or reassigned addresses can inherit old reports. A clean score is weak evidence because new or unreported attackers will not appear.
