How do HEX, RGB, and HSL colors relate?
HEX and RGB are two notations for the same red, green, and blue channel values, while HSL describes a color by hue, saturation, and lightness. This picker keeps all three forms synchronized so a visual selection can be copied into CSS, design tokens, or application code in the notation required.
Conversion accepts three- or six-digit hexadecimal input, with or without #, and rounds HSL values to whole numbers. The native color control supplies the visual picker and the arithmetic runs locally. Equivalent values can differ slightly after round-trip conversion because HSL display values are rounded.
