What does an SSL certificate converter change?
An SSL converter changes the encoding or container representation of supported certificates and keys so they can be consumed by software expecting PEM text or binary data. The cryptographic material remains the same even though headers, line wrapping, or byte representation change.
Conversion runs locally with node-forge and should be performed only on files you are authorized to handle. Re-encoding does not renew a certificate, repair invalid signatures, combine a missing chain, change its hostnames, or validate a private key. Keep an untouched backup and never upload private keys to an untrusted converter.
