What does a cookie-consent checker detect?
A cookie-consent checker inspects a page's served HTML for known consent-management platforms, banner markup, and cookie-related language. It can reveal which CMP appears to be installed or flag a page that discusses cookies without an obvious consent mechanism in its initial markup.
The server parses up to 800 KB with cheerio and recognizes ten named platforms plus generic banner patterns. It does not execute JavaScript, interact with the banner, classify individual cookies, or determine legal compliance. Dynamically injected or geo-targeted consent interfaces may be absent from the fetched HTML.
