What does an EXIF viewer reveal?
An EXIF viewer reads metadata embedded by cameras, phones, and editing software, including device details, capture time, orientation, exposure settings, and GPS coordinates when present. Reviewing those fields can support photo organization, troubleshooting, and privacy checks before sharing an image.
Exifr parses supported metadata locally in the browser, so the file is not uploaded. Missing fields may have been stripped, unsupported, or never recorded, and metadata can be edited or forged. Timestamps and coordinates should therefore not be treated as independently verified evidence.
