How does a PDF splitter work?
A PDF splitter extracts a selected page range from a source document and saves those pages as a separate PDF. It provides a focused way to share one chapter, isolate an invoice, or remove unrelated pages without sending the original file to a server.
Pdf-lib loads and copies the requested one-based page range in the browser and rejects ranges outside the document. Splitting creates a new file rather than editing the original and can break document-level signatures, bookmarks, attachments, cross-page links, forms, or other relationships that depend on the complete PDF.
