What does a torrent health checker measure?
A torrent health checker asks listed trackers for current seeder and leecher counts associated with an info hash. Those snapshots help estimate whether metadata and pieces are likely to be reachable without joining the swarm or downloading the underlying content.
The server uses the BEP 48 HTTP scrape convention against HTTP trackers published by the torrent. UDP-only, private, blocked, or DHT-only activity may be invisible, and tracker counts can be stale or inaccurate. Reported seeders do not prove that every piece is available or that content is lawful or safe.
